This Week’s Empties: What we will and will not be rebuying.

Finding your go to dependable products can be hard. We’re here to share some products we used and if we think its worth rebuying (or even buying for the first time) and what isn’t.

L’Oreal “Ever Pure Sulfate Free Conditioner” - not rebuying

Honestly, if you are in a bind and its the only thing on the shelf it’s not bad. At the end of the day it is still conditioner. The product was very liquidy so it took a lot of product to do anything. Not to mention this specific one is smaller than post of L’Oreal’s conditioners. We scanned the product into Yuka as well and it is not the best for you ingredients wise. Overall we say not worth the (re)purchase for the price.

Goodlight “Cosmic Dew Water Cleanser” - rebuying

Not only is the package aesthetic, but the product is amazing. It is super versatile for different skin types and genuinely leaves my skin feeling refreshed. This cleanser is a gel, foaming, face cleanser. The product is also within TSA regulations, so you can bring it with you on travels without having to repackage at all. Yuka has deemed the product super good for you too. The only downside is sometimes the cap can get a little messed up and make it hard to come out, but other than that we have no complaints. Overall we highly recommend and definitely recommend purchasing this!

Benefit “Hoola Bronzer” - rebuying

This product is one of the biggest staples in my everyday routine. I actually think this is the first time I’ve run out of the product since I bought it like 5 years ago. This thing is like never ending. The coloring and formulation are perfect for a little sun-kissed glow. I also use this product on my eyes as a shadow for every day wear. We highly recommend purchasing if you haven’t already and will absolutely be restocking this product to tide us over for the next 5 years!

Sunbum “Heat Protector” - not rebuying

Sunbum has been a popular brand for a few years now. Their aesthetic packaging and beachy style is hard to resist. One thing we are not a fan of is their hair products. I just ran through a bottle of their heat protectant and was not a fan. The entire time I used it I reminded myself to check for a different one at the store. The product has a weird formulation and felt greasy. The packaging is clear and you can visibly see the separation of the product so you have to shake it up before every use. And I don’t mean every time you need heat protectant, I mean between almost every spray. Along with these issues, I just never felt like it was actually doing anything. My hair still felt like it was getting the full force of the heat. The packaging is also very fragile. If you drop this product, it will break. After all this we put it through Yuka and it does not have the best rating. Overall, we do not recommend and will not be repurchasing this product again.

Peace Out “Pimple Patches” - rebuying

I recently got a few pimple patches from Peace Out as a Sephora free sample. I normally use the Goodlight pimple patches (which are also definitely worth the purchase) but decided to try these ones out. I loved them. They were super sticky so I had no fear they would fall off and they did their job of sucking up my pimples. The only thing I didn’t like was they had a darker coloring to them so they were not as subtle as some other brands. Even though we didn’t technically buy the first set, we will definitely be buying them next time!
